Meet the Healing Hands:

Christian

As someone who’s spent years in the service industry, worked with vulnerable populations as a social worker, and served in the Army, I understand personally how much our bodies can manage on a daily basis. I’ve learned to navigate stressful, intense environments while cultivating moments of calm and grounding. Now, as a massage therapist, I apply those lessons to help my clients find peace and relief.

I want each of my clients to feel safe, relaxed, and empowered after a session with me. I’m passionate about caring for those who spend their lives caring for others—whether in the service industry, helping professions, or marginalized communities. I continuously explore new research to enhance my practice and incorporate my values of compassion, respect, and empowerment into every massage I give.

Our bodies are always communicating with us, if we choose to stop and listen. What might we learn if we take the time to notice, with loving kindness, what they are saying? What ways have you cared for your precious, resilient, and sacred body lately?

  • Since moving to Pittsburgh for college in 2013, I have spent time working professionally in several distinct career fields, including social services, healthcare, the service industry, and the Army National Guard. I found my way to massage therapy through seeking my own healing during a particularly difficult period in my life. While navigating the stress and intensity of major military trainings and full time work in social services in the city, I began seeing a friend and colleague to receive restorative bodywork. Those sessions were profoundly impactful on my well-being, and I felt called and encouraged to pursue training in the profession. Throughout all of my professional careers, I have been guided by a desire to seek and promote healing for myself and others, from a variety of disciplines and approaches. I am honored and humbled to continue those efforts through therapeutic massage.

I graduated from the Pittsburgh School of Massage Therapy in June of 2024, where I gained experience in a wide range of massage modalities. I am a certified member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals (ABMP) and a passionate life-long learner, always seeking to refine and expand my knowledge base and skill set. I hope to continue expanding my offerings as I grow and learn. I believe in the healing power of compassionate and responsive touch, and my work is grounded in intersectional, trauma-informed, and evidence-based practices. I have a level 1 Reiki attunement, and specialize in Swedish massage, Neuromuscular therapy, and Myofascial Release. I believe that healing work should be accessible for everyone, and offer sliding scale fees for all sessions. I approach every body with humility, curiosity, and loving kindness.
