FAQs

  • Currently I do not accept insurance providers for my services. I do, however, accept payments from HSA or FSA accounts. Otherwise, I accept self-pay for services according to my sliding scale found here. I accept cash, most major debit and credit cards, Venmo, and Cashapp.

  • I’m an inclusive, LGBTQ+ affirming practitioner. My practice is inclusive and affirming for everyone, and I welcome you to share as much or as little as you want with me in order to help you feel comfortable joining my healing space. I believe that stepping into and claiming our most authentic selves is one of the most important things we can do to make gains in our respective healing journeys. Come as you are, and I will do all I can to celebrate and affirm you.

  • In short, you do not need to be completely nude for your massage therapy session. Please undress to your level of comfort, and I will adjust my techniques accordingly.

For full body sessions, or sessions where you request relief for lower back, hip, and thigh pain, it is recommended that you wear the least amount of clothing possible so that I may adequately address the muscle groups most likely responsible for your pain or discomfort. I have trained extensively in proper draping techniques to maintain your comfort and dignity, and will keep you adequately covered anytime I am not actively working on a muscle group.

For Reflexology sessions, you do not need to undress, as I will be working on either your hands or feet. It is recommended you wear loose fitting pants or shorts so I may address the lower legs during our session.

  • Your comfort and preferences are essential for an effective session, whether you choose to chat or stay silent! Most folks prefer a quiet session, while others talk for the majority of their time on the table. Either way, I will check in about pressure and comfort throughout the session, and I am happy to talk and explain what I’m working on at any time.

  • Upon entering the salon, you will be greeted and handed an intake form to complete, if you have not already filled out an online intake HERE.

I will review the form, and then invite you back to the treatment room to complete the intake process with a brief interview. We will discuss your recent health history, your goals for massage therapy, and determine areas to focus on or avoid.

After our intake interview has concluded, I will provide instructions for disrobing and placing yourself on the treatment table. I will leave the room to wash my hands while you disrobe and position yourself on the massage table.

I will knock on the treatment room door, crack the door open, and wait for a response to confirm you are comfortably positioned. I will dim the lights, place the bolster, and begin the session.

This is YOUR session, and the most effective bodywork happens with your direction and active participation. I empower and encourage my clients to take ownership of the session, and will check in about pressure and comfortability throughout the service. Please feel free to speak up at any time during our session if there’s something you’d like adjusted or amended.

Upon completion of the session, I will notify you that our time has ended, instruct you on how to dismount the table, and ask if you’d like any water. I will leave the room for you to get dressed and meet you at the front desk to check out and schedule our next appointment.
